Our application process is quick and easy, consisting of just ten simple steps. In no time, you will be on your way to studying with us in Thailand. To enroll with us, all you need to do is apply online from anywhere in the world.
Step 1: Choose the course you’re interested in
We offer a variety of courses, including English courses for 3, 6, 9, and 11 months, as well as Thai for Foreigners courses for 3, 6, 9, and 12 months.
To enroll in our English or Thai language courses, please send us the following required documents to study@newstamford.com:
- Completed NS Enrolment Form
- A digital half-body portrait for your ID photo with a white background in either JPG or PNG format
- A high-quality scanned copy of your passport, which should include the information page and all used pages.
Step 2: Sign your MoE application
Once we have received your enrollment documents, we will prepare your MoE application. To complete your application, you will receive a request for your electronic signature via SignRequest.
It is crucial that you sign your MoE application, along with the supporting documents, standard terms and conditions, and code of conduct, as close as possible to the signature that appears on your passport. Once we have received all of your signed documents, we will submit your application to the Ministry of Education for approval.
Note: Throughout the entire application process, we require international students to sign all documents with a signature that is as similar as possible to the one that appears on their passport. This helps to ensure a smooth and successful application process.
Step 3: Wait for the approved Letter of Acceptance (LoA)
After submitting your application to the Ministry of Education, it will be processed in the order it was received. The average processing time for a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) is 7-10 business days.
Once we receive your approved Letter of Acceptance, we will send you an email asking you to confirm the location of the embassy or consulate where you plan to apply for your visa.
Step 4: Receive the approved Letter of Acceptance from the Ministry of Education
As soon as we receive approval for your application from the Ministry of Education, we will notify you immediately. We will then prepare your visa documents based on the location of the embassy or consulate where you plan to apply for your visa.
E-visa Application
If you are applying through the e-visa system, we will send your visa documentation to your email.
Walk-in Application
If you are applying through the traditional visa system or walk-in application, it will require physical copies of your visa documents. Therefore, we will send your documents by post to the address you provided.
Step 5: Apply for your education visa
To apply for an education visa, you must ensure that you apply for the correct type of visa, which is a Non-Immigrant ED visa at a Thai embassy or consulate of your choice.
Please keep in mind that the wait time for visa processing may vary depending on the Thai embassy or consulate in different countries, as well as the processing time for certain nationalities.
To help ensure a smooth and successful application process, we highly recommend that you take the necessary steps to verify this information. While we are unable to guarantee the accuracy of this information, we are here to support you every step of the way and provide guidance as needed.
Step 6: Arrange your trip to Thailand
Once all documents are in order, you will be granted an initial 90-day education visa. You must travel to Thailand before the expiration of your visa, and once you arrive in Thailand, you must start your class within 30 days.
Step 7: Reporting to school and paying remaining fees upon arrival in Thailand
It is imperative that you report to our school within 7 days of entering Thailand. Additionally, you will be required to pay the remaining balance of your program fees upon your arrival in Thailand.
Step 8: Attend classes regularly
During the duration of your visa, it is essential to attend classes regularly and maintain a full-time student status.
Step 9: Extend your visa every 90 days
To extend your visa, you will need to go to the Chiang Mai immigration office every 90 days and submit the required documents, including proof of attendance and scores, to apply for an extension.
Our school is committed to making the visa extension process as hassle-free as possible. We will remind you in advance and help you arrange all the necessary visa extension documents.
To ensure that everything goes smoothly, we will plan to renew your visa 15 days in advance so that you can complete your 90-day report at the same time.
We will request your original passport one day before submitting the request for your visa extension at Chiang Mai immigration. After receiving your passport, we will then schedule an appointment for you to visit the Chiang Mai immigration office on the following day to submit your visa extension request. It is important to note that this process must be completed at the Chiang Mai immigration office only, as our school is under the jurisdiction of Chiang Mai immigration.
Step 10: Enjoy your stay and learn Thai culture
