Great news!

The re-entry permit service will resume at Chiang Mai immigration located at Central Festival Chiang Mai beginning on 3 April 2023.

To apply, visit the immigration office at Central Festival Chiang Mai on the third floor from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm on weekdays.

If you prefer not to visit an Immigration Office to apply for a re-entry permit in Thailand, there is an alternative option. You can apply for a re-entry permit on the day of your trip at an international airport. For example, at Chiang Mai International Airport (CNX), you can locate the re-entry permit counter before passing through immigration. The counter is operational in accordance with the international flight schedule for that day.
